Vancouver’s Roadhouse Interactive Create Innovative “Family Guy Online” Game

A local Vancouver online game production company is making it big with the design of a free-to-play, browser-based, 3D multiplayer game for the popular animated series “Family Guy”. Roadhouse Interactive partnered with 20th Century Fox to produce “Family Guy Online” after the show’s ninth season, allowing die hard fans to create their own 3D avatar characters even before the beta launch set for later this year.

Ian Verchere, the co-founder and chief creative officer at Roadhouse Interactive, expressed in an interview with Gamasutra that the game will not only include traditional social features such as chat and the ability to team up with other players, but will also showcase the Unity game development tool in order to bring the show’s 2D characters to life online.
